Dana R. Martens comes to The New York Academy of Medicine as a former Account Manager at NYC Business Solutions, Lower Manhattan Center where she led the Business Development team to create new jobs through coordinating recruitment projects for new and existing small businesses. She assisted these businesses leverage grant funding to increase professional development opportunities for their staff. Prior to this, she coached entrepreneurs to start, operate, and expand small businesses through permits and licensing support, business planning assistance, and referrals to qualified pro-bono professionals. She was also an instructor at the center, teaching courses in website design, social media marketing, and e-commerce to business owners and entrepreneurs. Ms. Martens holds a Bachelor of Arts Cum Laude in Economics from Smith College.
