Melissa Mendelson is a Project Director with The New York Academy of Medicine Office of School Health Programs. In this role, she oversees The Junior Fellows program, a program created to stimulate career interest and awareness in public health, science, medicine and research for middle and high school students, in addition to developing and designing educational technology initiatives for the Office of School Health Programs.
Prior to her current position, Ms. Mendelson provided leadership for the programmatic, outreach and strategic initiatives for two national non-profit organizations where she was responsible for piloting a regional education plan and the design and implementation of comprehensive health education programs and national presentations.
Ms. Mendelson holds a Masters degree in Public Health from the Boston University School of Public Health, is an AmeriCorps*VISTA alum, and a member of the Public Health Association of New York City.
