Staff Profile: Caitlyn Smith

Caitlyn Smith joined the Division of Health Policy in 2012. Most recently, Caitlyn was in the New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene’s Health Research Training Program, where she primarily focused on education and outreach campaigns to prevent falls among older adults. Previously, she has worked in both homelessness and aging and brings a diverse range of experience in addressing health issues. She holds a BA in Anthropology and Women’s Studies from The College of William and Mary and will complete a Master of Public Health from New York University in May 2013. At NYAM, Caitlyn provides strategic assistance to neighborhoods and community and civic organizations looking to become more inclusive of older adults, through the Age-friendly New York City initiative.
