Age-friendly Professions

Age-friendly New York City supports the belief that raising awareness about the importance of creating a livable city for older adults is one step to making New York City age-friendly. Changing perceptions about aging, however, is challenging and requires individuals from all parts of society to be leaders on this issue. The Age-friendly Professions project addresses that challenge by asking prominent institutions and professional organizations throughout New York City to think about what their profession can do to become more age-friendly.
The following professional organizations are currently working with Age-friendly NYC on how their organizations and members can better respond to an aging society:
Age-friendly Libraries (in partnership with the New York Public Library)
Age-friendly Architects (in partnership with the American Institute of Architects, New York Chapter)
Age-friendly Pharmacists
Age-friendly Attorneys
Age-friendly Cultural Institutions
