The Greater Harlem Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with The New York Academy of Medicine (NYAM), Emblem Health, Metro Plus, Health First, and CitiCare, will present the 4th Annual National Urban Health Conference on Friday, April 25 through Sunday April 27, 2014.
NYAM will host the conference’s opening session, Building Healthy Communities, on April 25 from 9:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. (with registration and breakfast beginning at 8:45 a.m.). Manhattan Borough President Gale Brewer will be a special guest speaker and the keynote address will be delivered Roger Hayes, Assistant Commissioner, NYC Department of Health and Mental Hygiene.
The event will also feature two panel discussions with representatives from local organizations and businesses on building healthy communities. The panelists represent Boom! Health, Abyssinian Development Corp, Harlem Hospital’s Walk It Out program, MetroPlus, CitiCare, and Renaissance Care.
