Business is critical to building healthy communities. The Institute of Medicine Roundtable on Population Health Improvement will be holding a workshop July 30 at NYAM that will focus on business engagement in improving population health beyond their important work in worksite wellness and health promotion. Speakers include representatives of businesses (e.g., Dow, IBM, and business coalitions on health) that have been active in efforts to improve the health of their communities. The workshop will focus on the case for business engagement, what businesses can do, strategies for implementation, and how to partner with other community-based stakeholders. Those who are unable to attend are invited to view the webcast the day of the event. More information on the Roundtable on Population Health Improvement is available here.
