A Showcase of PhD Student Research and Leadership Posters: “Focus on Evidence and Policy for a Healthier Environment”

Join us for a very special evening hosted by the Nursing Section of The New York Academy of Medicine to help celebrate Nurses Week. The event kicks off with special guest opening remarks by Darlene J. Curley, MS, RN, FAAN, CEO of the Jonas Philanthropies. By hosting an “evening for social and academic discourse," the FIRE Planning Group of 10 PhD Program Directors and students hope to stimulate ideas and nurture collaborations via a showcase of student research and policy poster displays.

Objectives for the “Showcase”:

  • Become aware of the breadth of student research and leadership activities across programs in the region that may complement and enhance one other;
  • Break down walls of competition and replace them with collaboration;
  • Share our passion for research and scholarship among PhD students and faculty across programs;
  • Share ideas and lessons learned in a socially engaging and stimulating environment.

  • 7:00 pm – 7:45 pm   2nd Viewing of Poster presentations (by ticket ID)
