The NYAM Conference Center
Built in 1926, our building on Fifth Avenue is designed in the early Romanesque style. Our facilities include a recently renovated conference level, a 500 fixed-seat theatre-style auditorium, a wood-paneled board room and several multipurpose function rooms. Events, meetings and receptions can range in size from 10 to 500 persons. Our magnificent marble and bronze lobby can host gatherings of 175.

A Perfect Space for Every Occasion

Hosack Hall
Hosack Hall is a 500-seat, two-tiered auditorium complete with stage, lighting, lectern and audio-visual projection room. Seats are upholstered and the auditorium is fully carpeted. The grand staircase from floor one, and the serviced elevators, provide easy access to the 2nd floor balcony. Hosack Hall is ideal for conferences, lectures, concerts, movie screenings and more.

Library Reading Room
The Library Reading Room is the ideal space for a gala, formal reception, wedding or larger meeting. Boasting tranquil views of Central Park, the Library Reading Room contains painted vaulted ceilings and is adorned with two grand bronze chandeliers. The Library Reading Room has a permanent baby grand piano.

Lobby
Our magnificent marble and bronze lobby serves as a pre-function area and is suitable for registration as well. It connects with Hosack Hall and the Presidents Gallery.

Presidents Gallery
The recently renovated Presidents Gallery is a multi-function room with state of the art audiovisual equipment. Presidents Gallery provides an ambiance that is both elegant and traditional. It is the perfect setting for a reception or dinner.

Reception Room 2
The Show Office (Reception Room 2) is adjacent to Hosack Hall. It doubles as a speaker-ready room and/or a comfortable show office, and is appointed with permanent board tables and chairs.

Room 20
Room 20 offers the flexibility for theatre, classroom or hollow square set-up. Fixed screens, permanent risers and projection booth permit the optimum in flexible meeting and event space. Room 20 can be divided to create two smaller rooms, 20A and 20B.

Room 21
Room 21 is a smaller version of and is located directly across the hall from Room 20. Room 21 is best for meetings, lectures and smaller receptions.

Room 440
Room 440 is ideal for the larger conference or event. It is fully equipped with a projection booth, fixed screen, and stage, to provide you with the optimum audiovisual needs.

Room 558
The Council Room is a comfortable, wood-paneled boardroom for the confidential executive, board, committee or advisory meeting. Permanent board tables and chairs are in Room 558.
