The purpose of the NYAM Section on Anesthesiology is the study and advancement of knowledge in the field. One of the events held annually is Residents’ Night, where top residents from the area’s Anesthesiology programs present their research.
UPCOMING EVENT
The New York Academy of Medicine Section on Anesthesiology is pleased to announce its Annual Residents’ Night to be held Tuesday, October 23, 2012 from 6:00– 8:30 pm. Residents are invited to submit clinical or basic scientific papers for consideration for presentation at this event. Papers should be original and still eligible for submission if they have been presented at other conferences. ABSTRACT SUBMISSION DEADLINE HAS BEEN EXTENDED TO OCTOBER 12 – FINAL NOTICE. Residents wishing to present interesting case studies or poster presentations of articles published in 2011 or 2012 should still submit an abstract, which will be included with the other abstracts, and bring a poster for display to the event. As in years past, a panel of members of the Executive Committee of the NYAM Section on Anesthesiology will select the papers to be presented. At the conclusion of the event, a prize will be awarded to the research judged to be the best based on both content and presentation. All Residents selected to present their research will become NYAM Associate Members with dues waived for one year. On January 12, 2010, the Anesthesiology Section recognized the achievements of long-term members of the Section.
