The purpose of the NYAM Dermatology Section is the study and advancement of knowledge in the field of Dermatology. One of the events held annually is Residents’ Night, where top residents from the area’s Dermatology programs present their research.
The NYAM Section on Dermatology held the 2011 Howard Fox, MD Memorial Lecture on November 22, 2011. "Molecular Therapies for Rare Heritable Skin Diseases" was presented by Jouni Uitto, MD, PhD, Professor and Chair, Department of Dermatology and Cutaneous Biology, Jefferson Medical College.
