What is MDConsult?

MDConsult is a commercial product which is offered as an extensive "mini-library". It contains the full text of:

• 47 medical journals, clinics and yearbooks;
• 36 textbooks, drug-information manuals and practice guidelines

and is searchable by category (i.e., book, journal, guideline).

MDConsult does not contain Annals of Internal Medicine, BMJ, The Lancet, and several other journals which are important to internists.  It is NOT designed as an evidence-based medicine source, but may serve as a background site, to provide you with an efficient means of searching a number of current textbooks.

The company offers free access for an introductory periods.
