Grants & Fellowships Overview
The New York Academy of Medicine offers a variety of grants and fellowships to medical students, seasoned physicians and investigators to support the advancement of health care studies.

Research fellowships currently available to investigators include those in cardiovascular disease, neurology, prevention and treatment of hip fractures, and urology or urology-related fields. Fellowships are also available to support work in history and humanities as they relate to medicine. An internship for advanced training in book and paper conservation is also offered.

The Academy offers endowed lectures and awards for academic leaders, researchers, clinicians and scientists. These awards are offered in fields including cardiology, glaucoma, nephrology and pediatrics.

Several grants afford medical students the opportunity to conduct summer research projects that will enrich their educational experience and propel continuing interest in the medical profession. Such grants are offered in the fields of cardiovascular research, microbiology and urology. Additional grants provide funding for projects that focus on medicine as it relates to the needs of underserved or disadvantaged populations, as well as those striving to understand importance of population-based strategies for health promotion and disease prevention.

Instructions on how to apply for the Academy's research fellowships, student grants, endowed lectures and awards are contained within the description of each program. Please click on your program of interest for full details.
