ESAP is the New York state law that allows pharmacists to sell syringes without
a prescription to anyone over 18.

The purpose of ESAP is to reduce the spread of HIV/AIDS, Hepatitis, and other
bloodborne diseases.

- ESAP-Registered
Pharmacies
- Update your
Registration: If your pharmacy certificate still says 2007, your pharmacy
can send an e-mail to ESAP@health.state.ny.us
to request a new certificate. Please include the pharmacy name, address and ESAP
certificate number in your e-mail.
- Order
materials: To order more ESAP inserts or sharps disposal containers, please
