Jamie Gutierrez
Jaime Gutierrez, MPH, is a Project Director for the Center for Evaluation and the Center for Urban Epidemiologic Studies (CUES) at the New York Academy of Medicine. Mr. Gutierrez has over 12 years of public health experience in direct service, research, advocacy, and program management. He holds a MPH from the Johns Hopkins University Bloomberg School of Public Health and a BA in International Development Studies from the University of California, Berkeley. His work focuses on the nexus between Community Based Participatory Research and Public Policy. Mr. Gutierrez has extensive quantitative and qualitative research experience with HIV/AIDS, MSM, and substance use related evaluation and research. Prior to joining NYAM, he was Assistant Director of Public Policy at Gay Men’s Health Crisis (GMHC), where he served as editor for two major HIV/AIDS publications, wrote a number of articles on issues relevant to the HIV-positive community, and published policy white papers.
