Linda F. Seligson
Linda F. Seligson is the Director of Corporate and Foundation Relations. She brings to The New York Academy of Medicine her rich experience overseeing the delivery of health care services and expertise in fundraising, special events, business and network development, program planning and development and community relations. Linda has secured more than $18 million in grant funding from federal, state and city governments, foundations and corporations. She has also successfully designed and implemented fundraising plans (direct mail, special events, major/ individual gifts) to supplement annual operating needs, capital needs and new or ongoing programs.
Linda was Director of Development at The Mount Sinai Sexual Assault and Violence Intervention (SAVI) Program, The Hebrew Home for the Aged at Riverdale, Director of Grants Administration and Analysis at Westchester Medical Center, and Director of Program Development for Elmhurst Hospital Center of The New York City Health and Hospitals Corporation.
Linda is a member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals, American Association of Grant Professionals, Women’s Health Network, Women in Health Care Management and Women in Development.
She is an active member of the Board of Directors of SHAREing & CAREing, a community-based organization that offers outreach and education for the general public and advocacy for survivors of breast cancer. She is in the Speaker’s Bureau of The Komen Foundation - New York City Race for the Cure, and is a certified rape counselor.
Linda received her BA in Psychology and Early Childhood Education form The State University College at New Paltz and her MS in Health Services Administration from Iona College in New Rochelle, NY. Her graduate thesis was “Strategies to Reduce Infant Mortality.”
