Health And Science Policy
The Division of Health and Science Policy is the center of Academy activities related to research on health services and policy. The Division conducts empirical research, sponsors conferences on important health policy issues, and collaborates with other institutions and other Academy divisions and offices. In collaboration with the Academy's Section on Health Care Delivery, the Division plans programs that place particular emphasis on the enormous changes occurring in the delivery of health care in New York City and the nation.
The Division is also home to the New York Forum for Child Health, a collaborative body dedicated to enhancing the health of children in New York State by improving access to health insurance and quality health care services. A strong and objective voice on child health, the Forum strives to develop new evidence-based research that can be used to pursue reform through advocacy efforts.
