Julie Netherland

Julie Netherland, MSW, joined the Division of Health Policy in April 2002 as a Research Associate and is now working as Policy Associate. Ms. Netherland brings 16 years of experience in HIV prevention, education and research and seven years experience in project management to the Academy. Her work has focused on prevention and access to care for HIV-infected substance users and the integration of drug treatment into medical care settings. She holds a BA from Bryn Mawr College, an MSW from the Boston University School of Social Work, and is currently pursuing a PhD in sociology from the Graduate Center of the City University of New York.
