This class provides an introduction to books and Internet resources in alternative medicine, as well as an introduction to Alt-HealthWatch, a full-text database of alternative medicine periodicals. - CINAHL
This class provides an introduction to finding nursing and allied health material using the CINAHL database in the OVID interface. - "I've Got This Old Book": Researching Your Historic Book
This class is for those who wish to find information about the author of their old book, or who wish to find out if their old book is important or valuable. Interest in finding out about old books is sufficient, ownership of old books is not required.
- Basic fee = $10/class
- Students = $5/class (with valid ID)
- Senior Citizens (65+) = $5/class
- Academy Fellows = free of charge
- Academy Staff = free of charge
Cancellation Policy
As space is limited, the Library's classes often have waiting lists for particular dates. Failure to cancel registration in a timely manner can prevent someone else from attending. If you cancel your registration, you will receive a refund of your registration fee only if:
1) you cancel before noon the day before the class, OR
2) there is no waiting list for a class.
Create a class!
If you can get a group of 10-12 people together, the Academy Library will schedule a special session of one of our medical information classes. The class must be scheduled at least 30 days in advance. Cost is $10/person.
