Historical Note
The Brooklyn Academy of Pediatrics was founded by a group of Brooklyn-based physicians in 1933 for the purpose of scientific exchange. Members and representatives of Pediatric departments of major hospitals and medical schools, both in New York and beyond, were invited to present and discuss their research.
Collection Description
Scope and Content
The collection is largely comprised of the minutes of the Council and general meetings. Treasurer's reports, printed programs, and accounts of correspondence are also included.
Arrangement of Collection
In four volumes, arranged chronologically: council minutes, 1933-1942; program meetings, 1933-1950; council meetings - programs, 1943-1950; and dinner meetings and council minutes, 1951-1956.
