Historical Note
The New York Odonotological Society, dedicated to the advancement and promotion of dentistry and oral surgery, was formed in 1867. Regular meetings, held on the third tuesday of the month, included papers, discussions, and other scientific and professional activities.
Collection Description
Scope and Content
The collection includes minutes, annual reports, and the constitution, by-laws, and code of ethics of the Society, within three bound volumes and loose records. It also includes the deed of gift to the Bennett Osteological Collection, which is not held at the New York Academy of Medicine.
