NOAH: New York Online Access to Health is a web-based project that offers reliable and unbiased consumer health information in English and Spanish to all who seek it. NOAH is dedicated to helping consumers enhance their health and well-being.
NOAH was started with government funding in 1994 and is a collaborative effort of a number of New York-based libraries and agencies. It is maintained by a Steering Committee comprised of representatives from the various libraries, and sustained by the ongoing volunteer efforts of contributing library editors from across the United States. The project is administered by the Academy Library and hosted on Academy servers.
Via library partnerships, NOAH reaches out to all city communities and offers free web services and resources. NOAH has come to be a trusted source in consumer health information, with well over 350,000 page views each month. NOAH has been recognized for its originality, content and design, and was rated by the Medical Library Association as one of the top ten most useful websites.
We hope you will return to NOAH regularly, and encourage you to bookmark NOAH at: http://www.noah-health.org.
