Unaffiliated Users
If you are a member of the general public and/or have no affiliation with the Academy, you can request that journal articles from the Academy's collection be photocopied and sent to you through the Library's Document Delivery Department. Requests must be faxed and should include your Visa, MasterCard or American Express number and expiration date. Book loans are not available for unaffiliated patrons. A request form is available in HTML and WORD formats for your convenience. Please print out a copy of the form and then fax it to (212) 722-7650 or mail it ATTN:Document Delivery.

The Academy Library can also provide photocopies of journal articles not held in our collection. These items will be procured from other institutions via Interlibrary Loan. Interlibrary Loans will take 5-7 days(Rush) and/or 14-21 days(Regular), depending on the level of service you choose:

Loansome Doc is a document delivery service that enables PubMed and NLM Gateway users to order documents found in MEDLINE. A user can order articles from a list of citations retrieved from PubMed or Internet Grateful Med by sending them to a library to request a full-text document. Patrons can register for Loansome Doc services through the Library's Document Delivery Department.
