The following is a list of databases to which the Library provides access. If you have a specific journal that you are looking for, try our e-journals portal and library catalog.

Free and Subscription Databases

Academic OneFile
This database contains over 13,000 journals and reference sources, many of which are peer-reviewed and full text. It has extensive coverage of the physical sciences, technology, medicine, social sciences, the arts, theology, literature, and more.

AGELINE
AgeLine focuses exclusively on the population aged 50+ and issues of aging and indexes over 200 journals, books, book chapters, and reports  from 1978 to the present, with selected coverage from 1966-1977.

ACP Journal Club
The editors of ACP Journal Club regularly screen the top clinical journals to identify methodologically sound and clinically relevant. Enhanced abstracts of the chosen articles are then written, including commentaries on the applicability of these studies to clinical practice.

Alt-Healthwatch
This database focuses on the many perspectives of complementary, holistic, and integrated approaches to health care and wellness. It offers full-text articles for more than 180 international, often peer-reviewed, journals and reports. There are also hundreds of pamphlets, booklets, special reports, original research, and book excerpts.

ArticleFirst
An index of articles from the contents pages of journals.

Business and Company Resource Center
Coverage includes information on companies, markets, and industries via business and trade journals, newspapers, and company directory profiles.

ClasePeriodica
An index of Latin American journals in the sciences and humanities

Directory of Open Access Journals
A searchable directory of open-access scientific and scholarly journals that use a control system to guarantee the quality of the content. No login needed.

Ebooks
OCLC catalog of online electronic books available through libraries worldwide.

ECO
An OCLC collection of scholarly journals.

ERIC
This database indexes journal articles and reports in education.

Encyclopedia Britannica Online
This full-text resource includes Encyclopedia Britannica and Britannica Concise Encyclopedia articles as well as media, Web sites, and videos. No login needed

Free Medical Journals Online
Links to medical journals with full text or limited full-text availability. No login needed.

Free Medical Texts Online
Links to open-access medical textbooks. No login needed.

Funk & Wagnalls New World Encyclopedia
More than 25,000 encyclopedic entries covering a variety of subject areas.

General OneFile
A general periodical database with more than 12,000 entries, more than half of which are full text. The backfile extends nearly 30 years. Subjects include humanities, education, environmental issues, technology, health care, and politics.

GPO
Access to U.S. government publications.

GreenFILE
GreenFILE offers well-researched information covering all aspects of human impact to the environment. The database provides indexing and abstracts for more than 384,000 records, as well as full-text for more than 4,700 records.

Health Reference Center Academic
Multi-source database provides access to the full text of nursing and allied health journals, plus a wide variety of personal health information sources.

Library, Information Science & Technology Abstracts
Library, Information Science & Technology Abstracts (LISTA) indexes more than 560 core journals, nearly 50 priority journals, and nearly 125 selective journals; plus books, research reports, and proceedings.

MDConsult
Clinical information resource with a full-text book and journal collection including the Clinics of North America series, yearbooks, drug information, practice guidelines, medical news, and patient handouts.

Medline (OVID)
Ovid search interface for MEDLINE, the premier database of the National Library of Medicine indexing over 5,000 current biomedical journals. Coverage is from the 1950s-present. Some full text available.

MedlinePlus Medical Dictionary
A medical dictionary from the National Library of Medicine and Merriam-Webster. No login needed.

National Newspaper Index
Provides quick access to the indexing of The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, The Christian Science Monitor, The Los Angeles Times, and The Washington Post from 1977 to the present. This database does not contain full-text.

New York State Newspapers
Articles from 28 major newspapers published in the state of New York, including The New York Times and The New York Post. Some full text available.

NOVELNY NewYork Online Virtual Electronic Library
Books, magazines, newspapers, research, and reference sources available to New York State residents. State ID required for access. Some full text available.

OAIster
Union catalog of digital resources.

OCLC FirstSearch
An online reference search tool that delivers content from WorldCat and other databases.

PapersFirst
OCLC index of papers presented at conferences worldwide.

Primary Search
Primary Search provides full text for more than 70 popular magazines for elementary school research.

Proceedings
An OCLC index of worldwide conference proceedings.

PubMed Medline
The free search interface for MEDLINE, the premier database of the National Library of Medicine indexing over 5,000 current biomedical journals. Coverage is from the 1950s-present. Some full text available. No login needed.

SocINDEX with Full Text
Full text for more than 860 journals dating back to 1908, in addition to more than 830 books and monographs and nearly 17,000 conference papers.

Sociological Collection
Coverage of more than 500 full text journals in all areas of sociology, including social behavior, human tendencies, interaction, relationships, community development, culture, and social structure.

Teacher Reference Center
Indexing and abstracts for 280 of the most popular teacher and administrator journals and magazines to assist professional educators.

WorldAlmanac
Funk & Wagnalls New Encyclopedia and four almanacs.

WorldCat
A catalog of books and other materials in libraries worldwide. Available without a subscription at worldcat.org.

WorldCatDissertations
A database of all dissertations and theses available in WorldCat.
