The New York Academy of Medicine and New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene, with funding from the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, have announced the launch of an initiative to advance population health research and promote health equity in New York City. 

The multi-institutional platform, Health Data for New York City (HD4NYC), will advance evidence-based population health research by facilitating access to Health Department data for early-career investigators from academic institutions, the New York City Department of Health, and NYAM. The initiative also will support mentorship, collective learning, and trainings focused on enhancing the productivity and career development of researchers.
