According to reports, this year's conference theme is governance. But sometimes we should pause and say "Wait a minute, let's see what impact this has on health." Even if a little slow down the pace of development policies and measures to take the time to study any possible consequences. I'm not saying to completely stop the process of urbanization, but a little slow down in order to reduce the negative impact of excessive development, said Dr. David Vlahov, director of the conference.

“We are here (New York) has called a "health everywhere" policy, that is, whether (government) what kind of development or implementation of the measures, we must first consider its health effects, any policy has a good side, but also possible adverse consequences. And think of what we can to prepare in advance - this is good management,” said Dr. Jo Ivey Boufford, President of The New York Academy of Medicine, which hosted the conference.
