NYAM hosts special events to recognize outstanding leaders who are contributing to the health of people in cities and to acknowledge individuals who generously support of our work.
The annual Gala honors outstanding organizations that have made significant contributions to the quality of life and health in New York City and the Urban Health Champion Award is presented to an individual who best exemplify our mission and commitment to advancing the health of people in cities across the nation and the world.

John Stearns Legacy Society Luncheon
NYAM recognizes individuals who have remembered NYAM in their will and estate plans or have given a minimum of $25,000 to an endowment fund as members of the John Stearns Legacy Society at an annual luncheon.
President's Society Reception
The annual President’s Society Reception recognizes generous donors who have supported NYAM with an annual gift of $1,000 or more. The 2011 President's Society Reception was held on Thursday, October 27.
Malloch Circle Dinners
The Malloch Circle is a special group of Friends of the Rare Book Room who are interested in the history of medicine and public health and who support the historical programs of NYAM at a minimum of $1,000 per year. Members of the Malloch Circle meet several times a year for dinner and conversation, with special presentations of bibliographical and historical interest, and for private tours of notable rare book collections. The upcoming 2012 Malloch Circle Dinners promise to be intellectually stimulating, pleasantly convivial and topped off with very good food.
