In collaboration with the Community Health Foundation of Western and Central New York, the Center for Evaluation and Applied Research is conducting a qualitative study focused on understanding the needs and service use of at-risk pregnant women and new mothers in five upstate NY communities. With the intention of informing Community Health Foundation giving in the area, the study seeks to gather information on access to and delays in prenatal care, feelings about pregnancy and parenting, helpful supports, and services needed and utilized.
Working as a consultant to the NYC Department of Health, Bureau of Maternal Infant and Reproductive Health (BMIRH), the Center for Evaluation and Applied Research provides technical assistance focused on design, execution and interpretation of evaluations of BMIRHs programmatic work on adolescent reproductive health, maternal and infant health and breastfeeding.
