Summit Materials (Video, Presentations and Speaker Bios)

On December 2 and December 8, guests were invited to a virtual summit of global leaders in the field of infection prevention and control in long-term care facilities convened by the New York Academy of Medicine.

The goals of the summit were to:

  • Critically examine evidence-based practice guidelines for infection prevention and control in skilled nursing and assisted living facilities,
  • Understand key barriers to implementing these best practices, and
  • Propose sustainable regional and global solutions.

This summit was intended for professionals who work in long-term care, including administrators, clinicians, regulators, researchers, and policymakers.

The summit was presented in partnership with the Yale School of Nursing and was partially supported by Saraya Co., Ltd., a manufacturer of hygiene and healthcare products.
