Join us as we explore findings and initiatives related to climate and pandemic disasters, how it impacts older adults in NYS, and what we can do about it. NYAM's Elana Kieffer will provide an overview of the just-published report "Strengthening Community Resilience", which examines community resilience and the experiences of older adults in NYC during COVID-19. Danielle Arigoni will then provide a case study from her new book, "Climate Resilience for an Aging Nation". Finally,  from AARP NY's Robyn Haberman we will learn how to prepare for future weather disasters from the AARP Disaster Resilience Tool Kit.
