Position Summary/Overview:
The Research Analyst position requires a well-organized, highly motivated individual, with mixed-methods research experience, community-based experience and the willingness and ability to assume a variety of research, and administrative tasks. Projects may include those that address population health and health equity and foster collaboration across public health, health care, and communities. While NYAM is currently operating under a hybrid (primarily remote) work model the Research Analyst will need to be available for local meetings and in-person data collection activities (per project needs).

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
•    Survey administration in-person and by phone, as well as co-facilitation of interviews and focus groups.
•    Recruiting and screening study participants.
•    Programming, cleaning and analyzing quantitative data using statistical software e.g. STATA, SPPS , SAS etc. 
•    Coding and analyzing qualitative data.
•    Outreaching to and liaising with partner organizations.
•    Participate in the development of proposals, reports, and manuscripts.
•    Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
•    Prior research and/or evaluation experience. 
•    Demonstrated interest in and knowledge of public health issues affecting diverse and low-resource populations.
•    Ability to work independently and collaboratively to manage multiple responsibilities.
•    Adept at working with diverse social, cultural, and economic groups.
•    Ability to travel and work in communities throughout NYC and NYS.
•    Ability to occasionally work flexible hours on evenings and weekends, as necessary.
•    Experience with administrative systems and tasks 

Education and Experience:
Master’s degree and one-year relevant experience or bachelor’s degree and 3 years relevant experience.

Salary & Compensation: 
$60,000 - $75,000. NYAM provides a comprehensive benefits package including generous PTO, employer subsidized health insurance, and retirement contribution matching for eligible employees.
